Former Big Brother Naija reality star, Nengi, has debunked claims by controversial gossip blog Gistlover that she is pregnant for Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri.
In a statement addressing the rumors, Nengi expressed her frustration over the spread of false information, emphasizing that social media often fuels baseless speculation.
"As much as I believe social media lies aren’t worth my time, I’ve come to accept that we live in a world where people are quick to spread lies without limits," she stated. "So let me be clear, I’m not pregnant for any governor."
She further explained that she typically ignores rumors but felt compelled to speak out because the allegations involve individuals she holds in high regard.
"I’ve chosen to speak coz this isn’t just an attack on me; it involves people I hold in the highest regard, and I won’t allow a beautiful, personal part of my life to be turned into something ugly," she added.
However, Nengi seemingly confirmed her pregnancy, stating, "While I continue to mind my own business and enjoy my pregnancy in PEACE, I wish y’all love and a happy Valentine’s weekend."
Her response has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many questioning the authenticity of the claims while others show support for the reality star. Governor Douye Diri has not issued any statement regarding the allegations.
