CAF Appoints Pinnick Special Adviser

Posted by: Quickresponse | July 6, 2025

Former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has been appointed as special adviser to the president of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe,
The announcement was made by Motsepe during a live-streamed press conference on YouTube on Saturday, where the former football chief was welcomed back into the hierarchy of the continent’s football governing body.

“I did not know Amaju is so loved in CAF,” Motsepe said following Pinnick’s appointment.

By virtue of the appointment, Pinnick would be attending all CAF executive meetings in his advisory role. His new position further boosts an already enhanced profile and is a clear appreciation of his contributions to the development of football on the continent.
