Federal High Court To Commence Christmas Vacation December 16

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Honourable Justice John Tsoho, has announced the commencement of the annual Christmas vacation for the year 2024.



The judge approved and announced the commencement of the annual vacation pursuant to the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (b) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedures) Rules, 2019 (as amended).



A release dated November 12, 2024, signed by the Director of Information, Federal High Court of Nigeria, Catherine Oby Christopher and made available to the press, states that the Vacation will commence from Monday, 16th December, 2024 to Monday 6th January, 2025.


During the vacation period, the core Judicial Divisions; Abuja, Lagos, and Port-Harcourt Judicial Divisions will, as usual, remain functional and open to the litigating public throughout the Vacation.

Only matters relating to enforcement of Fundamental Rights; Arrest or Release of Vessels and matters that concern dire National Interest shall be entertained by the Vacation Judges.
