FHC Announces Activities To Celebrate Its Fifty Years

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, has announced the activities lined up to mark the ceremonies for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Federal High Court of Nigeria.

In an invitation extended to our reporter by the Court’s Assistant Director of Information, Catherine Christopher, Ph.D, on Saturday, she said that the activities will commence on Monday, December 11, 2023, with devotional worship at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Maitama, by 930 a.m., while a special legal year court session will take place at Ukeje Hall, FHC Headquarters, Abuja.

On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, there will be a novel football match between selected FHC judges and members of the N.B.A. at the National Stadium, Abuja, by 4:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, the Judges’ Annual Conference Anniversary, the Hon. Chief Justice of Nigeria will chair lectures. Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, GCON, will take place. In contrast, the presentation of publications of the Federal High Court by the Hon. Chief Judge, Hon. Justice John T. Tsoho, will take place at the Ukeje Hall, FHC Headquarters, Abuja, FCT, by 10:00 a.m.

Thursday, December 14, 2023, Judges’ Annual Conference continues from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while Gala/Cultural Night will take place at the Ballroom 232, Mohammadu Buhari Way, Central Business District, Abuja, FCT, by 5:00 p.m.

The event will end on Friday, December 15, 2023, with a Health Talk for Hon. Judges, followed by the Hon. Chief Judge’s Merit Awards Ceremony and the closure of the Judges’ Annual Conference between 9:30 a.m. and noon.
