Mauritania President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani has been elected as the 21st Chairman of the African Union.
The announcement came during the ongoing African Union Leaders Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. News Central can confirm.
He will lead the AU’s governance for a year until February 2025, succeeding President Azali Assoumani of Comoros.
