In a move to strengthen unity and promote development in Ndokwa West communities and the welfare of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ndokwa West, party leaders, stakeholders, and faithfuls gathered on Thursday for a crucial meeting in Onitcha-Ukwuani.
The enlarged meeting, which took place at the country home of the Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Sir Monday Onyeme, in Ibabu, Onitcha-Ukwuani, brought together key figures of the APC family in Ndokwa West to discuss the way forward for the party in the area.
Speaking at the gathering, His Excellency the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and teamwork within the party.
The Deputy Governor urged all members of the party to work hand in hand and put the interest of the party first in order to strengthen its grassroots structure and prepare for future victories.
“We must continue to stand together as one family. No one can do it alone. If we work together in unity and love, we will build a stronger APC and a better Delta State,” he said.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Renewal, Engr. Michael Anoka FNSE, called on party leaders to work together to ensure that the APC's Renewed Hope for More Agenda is felt at the grassroots.
He stressed the need for programs that will benefit members at the unit and ward levels, particularly in areas of empowerment and inclusion.
Engr. Anoka praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his developmental strides across the state. He noted that the M.O.R.E Agenda has brought meaningful projects, improved infrastructure, and people-centered governance to Delta State.
“Our Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has shown great leadership. From road construction to healthcare and youth empowerment, including job creation, we are seeing real progress under his administration. He deserves our full support,” Anoka added.
The highlight of the meeting was the unanimous passing of a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, endorsing them for a second term in office due to their visionary leadership and commitment to national and state development.
Among those present were notable party leaders including Chief Festus Ochonogor, Chief Sam Osasa, top government functionaries, and other leaders, Government Officials, Appointees and party faithfuls.
