…as Omaruaye thanks the good people of Delta central for their support.

On February 15th, 2023, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru led the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) campaign train to Ughelli township stadium to kick off its Delta Central Senatorial District campaign, and the people of Delta Central Senatorial District showed up in large numbers to welcome them. The event was attended by men, women, and youths, as well as Okada riders and market women.

The enormous crowd that gathered to welcome Chief Ogboru has dispelled any rumors of a decline in his popularity. The campaign started with a stopover at Agbarho junction, where Mr. Peters Omaruaye, the Party Senatorial candidate for Delta Central, received the “People’s General” with a cultural dance.

The campaign train then moved to Ekiegbo junction, where they met with a group of APGA supporters. The train continued along the Ekiugbo road to Ughelli Central Market, where the Ughelli market women expressed their love for Ogboru by coming out of their shops to catch a glimpse of him. They sang and danced in excitement and vowed to support Ogboru by coming out en masse to vote for him and his party on February 25th and March 11th, 2023.

Chief Ogboru was so moved by the market women's ovation that he decided to come out of his car and walk along the road to shake hands with them and the Okada riders. The campaign train then moved to Otovwodo junction, where they met with more market women, and the ovation increased. Chief Ogboru walked from Otovwodo junction down to the Ughelli Township stadium, where another huge crowd of APGA supporters awaited the flag-off of the party's 2023 election campaign.

During the flag-off, Mr. Peters Omaruaye expressed the Ogboru political family's commitment to winning all their elections in the state and thanked the people for their support. He charged them to continue supporting the party and its agenda.

Chief Ogboru described the APGA "Jubilee Agenda" as an agenda for the restoration of all the things the state has lost in the past and urged the people to continue their support. The event was a huge success, and the enthusiasm of the people of Delta Central Senatorial District bodes well for APGA's chances in the upcoming elections.
