Police Recovers 36 Bodies From Badau Village Kano Boat MishapBy

The Police in Kano say, rescue operation is ongoing after a boat conveying passengers capsized at Badau Village, in the Bagwai Local Government Area of the state.The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Kiyawa, said as of Wednesday, 36 persons have been recovered.Of the bodies recovered, 29 have been confirmed dead, while seven rescued victims are receiving treatment at the Bhagwati Hospital.Also Read: Motorists blame petrol scarcity in Kano on sharp practices of retailersKiyawa gave the breakdown of the dead as 21 females and 8 males.( AITNews)
