_...He has demonstrated proven expertise in governance , planning, and political leadership.._ .The organisers of the Bayelsa State Governor's Football Tournament christened the Prosperity Cup and have felicitated with Governor Douye Diri as he turns 64 years.The organizers in a statement by Director General of the tournament Mr Ono Akpe, described Governor Diri as an urbane, cerebral leader of great value and a committed progressive that is concerned about the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the State.According to the statement, the Prosperity Administration has made significant progress in infrastructure development, security, as well as, sports and the general welfare of citizens.The statement extols the sterling and legendary contributions of governor Diri to the sustainable development of sports in the state in the last three years of  his administration, stating that the governor's emergence is the best thing that has happened to the sports sector."On behalf of all the outstanding young footballers, the brilliant coaches, the hardworking officials as well as the entire LOC of Nigerias' largest grassroot football tournament, the Prosperity Cup, we salute His Excellency Senator Douye Diri on attaining the glorious age of 64 years", the statement added.It notes that Governor Diri  has demonstrated proven expertise in governance , planning, and political leadership since he assumed office as the state's helmsman.The statement wishes the governor more great strides and prays  that God will bless him with wisdom and grant him success in his quest for nation-building and service to humanity"
