One of the top chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and current governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has sent a message to those planning to rig the forthcoming gövernorship election in Oyo state in 2027.
His statement was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of PUNCH on Monday, November 24, 2025.
In the report that surfaced online, the Oyo state governor warned that those planning to rig the election will be heavily resisted. Speaking about his successor, Seyi Makinde said he won't handpick anyone for the people of Oyo state.
Seyi Makinde stated that the people will be allowed to choose whoever they want.
Here is what the Oyo state governor said according to PUNCH;
"The next set of leaders will be the ultimate deciders. If you think you can rig the gubernatorial election in Oyo state in 2027, think again. We will use mådness to cüre mådness".
