Governor Hyacinth Alia has appointed Mrs Aber Serumun Deborah as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Mrs Aber, a lawyer by profession thus become the first female to be appointed as SSG in Benue State.
Her appointment followed Monday, September 9 resignation of the former SSG, Prof. Joseph Alakali.
The appointment was confirmed by a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sir Tersoo Kula.
According to Kula, Alakali submitted his letter of resignation yesterday, stating that he needed time to address personal challenges.
