Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has ordered the remand of former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, at the Kuje Correctional Centre pending the hearing of his bail application.
Malami will remain in custody until January 2, 2026, when his written bail request will be argued. The court rejected an oral bail application, ruling that it would unfairly ambush the EFCC, which must be given time to respond to the written application in line with legal procedure.
